April 29. Eating Healthy for Performance in Sports and Life

Nutrition matters when it comes to performing well in sports but also performing well in life! Matters even more now when, all over the world, active people – adults and kids, engaged in sports, during regular times, are confined to their homes, with limited physical exercises and having a lot of time to…eat.

The webinar is meant to help physically active people, including athletes, to better optimize their performance by optimizing what they eat. Nutrition is a science and we’re talking often these days, about the benefits of listening to scientists and experts. At the end of the workshop, athletes, coaches, and others interested in exercising and eating right will be better informed about healthy options to maximize potential, get answers to key issues surrounding physical activity and nutrition, and understand healthy meal and snack ideas, during this pandemic and the day after.

This webinar is part of World Learning’s International Sports Programming Initiative for Middle East, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa Program (ISPI) —Virtual Together program, a series of virtual events, launched in the context of the COVID-19 crisis. ISPI is a program of U.S. Department of State's Sports Diplomacy division. The series aims to engage the sports community globally, to creatively problem solve, share digital tools and work together, follow health guidance, and continue to promote active, healthy lifestyles both physically and mentally throughout this crisis. Additional modules related to these objectives are being developed and will be announced.
